This Cascina Montagnola - 'Amaranto' Colli Tortonesi Rosso 2015 is a robust, yet brilliant and vibrantly ruby-purple coloured Red wine, with rich aromas of cassis, raspberry, blackberry, and leather that entice the nose. On the palate, it shows complex flavours of ripe cherry, plum and spice merging beautifully with warm notes of cedar, herbs and dry mellow tannins. It is lush and voluptuous, but still wonderfully balanced with excellent depth and complexity that unfolds in a velvety finish. With its medium-bodied structure, firm acidity and ripe tannins adding structure to the wine, it is a great match for dishes such as herb-crusted rack of lamb, baked beef tenderloin or risotto with mushrooms.
