Franz Haas

Since the foundation of the Franz Haas winery in 1880, it has passed through seven generations with every firstborn Franz Haas. The winery goes to tremendous lengths to grow good grapes and strives to preserve the flavours of the fruit during winemaking. As a result, the wines that Franz Haas produces are infused with great character and show a rare purity and balance on the palate.

The vineyards are situated in the areas of Egna, Montagna and Aldino on a level between 240m and 1.150m asl in zones of different microclimatic and geological conditions, such as porphyry sand, clay and chalky soil. Special attention has always been taken in using the minimum and most selective chemical substances during cultivation and fertilisation.
