Decugnano Dei Barbi

Decugnano dei Barbi is one of the most important and classic producers of Orvieto. The vines lie on the sandy soil of Fossatello di Corbara, while the cellars are dug out of the tuff.

The company and wineries really deserve a visit, timeless places, of a poignant beauty. It was 1973 when Claudio Barbi bought the first vineyards, in 1978 he produced the first classic method in Umbria and in 1981 the first Italian bottle with botrytized grapes, the Pourriture Noble.
