The Cascina Montagnola - 'Sornione' Sauvignon da uve strature 2017 (500ml) is a sweet grape wine with a delicate and light yellow colour. On the nose, fragrant aromas of sweet ripe fruits, such as pineapple, peach and apricot, combine with floral scents of elderflowers and touches of honeysuckle. On the palate, it is full- bodied and flavourful, with juicy flavours of raisins and dried fruit that offset its moderately sweet character. There are notes of fresh lemons too and wonderfully rounded tannins which give the wine a velvety texture. The wine has a pleasant acidity which adds to its complexity and makes it ideal for pairing with lighter desserts or aged cheeses.
