Cà La Bionda - 'Malavoglia' Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Classico Superiore 2013
This certified organic Valpolicella is made entirely from fruit grown in their vineyards. The chemical and physical characteristics of the soil along with the topographical hillside position of the vineyards make it possible for us to produce a red wine of great class and pedigree. The fermentation lasts for 15 days and is carried out in 5000 litre oak vats in contact with the skins of the Amarone from the Ravazzol vineyard and with the skins of the Recioto from the Tordare vineyard. Following fermentation the wine is aged for a period of 12 months in 3000 liter oak barrels.
This Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso is a faithful expression of the traditional style of this great wine: The wine is full, complex, soft but completely dry in the true "Ca' la Bionda style". The palate displays all the qualities of a great red, freshness, elegance density and structure. The wine has not been filtered and clarification of the wine is carried out by entirely natural methods.
